While the vast majority of people who have their nails coloured experience no problems, a small number of people have the potential to develop an allergy to (meth) acrylate allergy in the three main types of nail enhancements – acrylic, gel (derived from methacrylates) and gel-polish (a pre-mixed product and hybrid of gel and nail varnish).
